The Man in the Water is a great book about a boy, named Shaun, who stumbles across a dead man in a pond. The book is based in outback Queensland and is the perfect mix of mystery, romance and action. I would give this book to an 11 to 15-year-old because of the swearing and slight romance which might not be suitable for younger readers.
The book is a beautifully put together story about a teenager struggling with the death of his dad, struggling to prove he told the truth about the body in pond and finding a first love.
I would rate this book for 11 to 15-year-olds because as I said, the swearing. I hope you enjoy it as much as me. Bye for now.
